Yala leopard sightings this week — anyone having luck?
Heading there in a couple of days. Are leopards being seen regularly right now?

Leopards are being spotted regularly but it's always somewhat unpredictable — some days multiple sightings, other days none. The recent reports have been decent though, with several groups seeing at least one. Having a good tracker/driver makes a big difference. Early morning and late afternoon drives are still your best bet. Yala is always a bit of a lottery with leopards but the odds are reasonable right now. Some blocks are better than others on any given day — experienced operators know which areas are producing sightings.
Decent sightings reported recently but still unpredictable. Good tracker helps. Early and late drives are best.
