3000 ticket includes the museums - do those even open at 5.30 or is that a 9.30 product

FAQ: 3,000 includes Temple of Tooth, Dalada Museum, World Buddhist Museum, Tusker Museum, Royal Elephant Stable. If we go at 5.30 for theva, do we get the museums in the dark or is the 3,000 a 5.30 shrine plus museums when those rooms actually unlock. Partner wants to sit 2-5pm rain in the museums (other thread). Need to know if 5.30 already used the ticket or we can come back.

Published open for the temple is 5.30 AM-8.00 PM. The ticket includes those museums/stables. I cannot swear whether each museum room unlocks at 05:30 or later on 22 Aug - do not promise a 5.35 tusker-museum wander. Theva 5.30-7.00 is the morning ritual; 9.30-11.00 is the next. A single machine ticket is the published entry, not a second 3,000 for coming back the same day - I cannot swear same-day re-entry; keep the ticket stub/machine slip.

5.30 is for theva. Museums as a 2-5pm rain plan is the indoor Kandy version (other thread) if the rooms are open then. Ask at the official desk in daylight, not a forum at 22:42. No tout "museum only" ticket.

Men approach tourists near Temple of the Tooth offering to be guides. After the tour, they demand large "donations" or guide fees (5000-10000 LKR).
