Finding food late at night in Jaffna can be quite challenging. Unlike Colombo the city effectively shuts down very early. Most standard local eateries close their kitchens by 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM.

Your best option for a late meal is Mangos Indian Vegetarian Restaurant which often stays busy slightly later or simply relying on the room service at major hotels like Jetwing or Fox Resorts which keep their kitchens open to accommodate late arriving tourists.
