There are absolutely unequivocally zero bathrooms toilets or water taps available anywhere on the summit of the Sigiriya rock fortress or anywhere along the massive metal staircases leading up to it.

If you suddenly desperately need a restroom while on the summit you have absolutely no choice but to hike the entire agonizing way back down the steep stairs to the ground level.

It is a highly protected closely guarded ancient archaeological site. You must ensure you completely utilize the public restroom facilities conveniently located near the main ticket office and car park before you commence the grueling three hour climb.
