Do I need to tip my safari driver in Yala?

We already paid the jeep rental fee to the hotel. Is it customary to tip the driver separately.

It is not mandatory, but tipping is highly customary. If the driver worked hard to track animals for you, a tip of 1000 to 2000 LKR handed directly to them is very much appreciated.
