Dollar selling rate dropped to 333 this morning - do we change the rest of the USD tonight or wait
Still sitting on $400 cash. Airport booth was worse than I wanted so I held. News says banks are selling around 333-335 today, down from 336 earlier this week. We need rupees for Kandy food and a driver. Is this the week the rupee keeps strengthening or am I overthinking a sandwich.

You are not trading a hedge fund. Change what you will spend in the next four days at a proper bank or a licensed changer, not at the hotel desk. A 2-rupee move on $400 is a plate of kottu, not a holiday. Banks close early-ish; Perahera streets will not help you find a counter after 3.
I used Wise for cards and changed $150 cash at Commercial in Kandy yesterday. No drama. I would not wait for 330 on a forum.
Passport at the bank. Count the bundle at the window. Tonight's food is rupees, not tomorrow's CBSL tweet.

TukTuk or tour drivers take you to "gem museums" or "government-certified" gem shops. They receive huge commissions (up to 40%) on anything you buy. Prices are inflated 3-10x the actual value.
Men approach tourists near Temple of the Tooth offering to be guides. After the tour, they demand large "donations" or guide fees (5000-10000 LKR).
