How long is the trek to Rathna Ella waterfall from Mahiyanganaya?

The trek to Rathna Ella takes about forty five minutes to an hour from the village of Hasalaka. It is a relatively easy walk through beautiful paddy fields and forest. The waterfall is over one hundred meters high and spectacular. You can swim in the natural pools further downstream which are safer. Avoid swimming directly under the main falls as the currents can be unpredictable and rocks can fall from the top during the rainy season.
