Yes, the inter monsoon showers we had yesterday make the steep dirt descent down to Jungle Beach quite muddy. Do not wear flip flops for the hike. Wear proper trail shoes, and switch to your beach gear once you hit the sand. The coral reef visibility is actually quite good today despite the rain!

The monkeys on that trail are very cheeky. Make sure any snacks you bring for the beach are buried deep in your backpack, not in the side mesh pockets.
