Yes Wilpattu is profoundly vastly fundamentally superior for highly serious nature photography. It completely entirely lacks the massive chaotic swarms of noisy tourist jeeps constantly found blocking the trails in Yala. This absolute solitude perfectly allows you to sit perfectly quietly for hours and wait for the magnificent wildlife to simply emerge completely naturally without being scared away by loud engines.
