I want to do my Open Water certification somewhere nice. Any good dive centers in Sri Lanka that are professional and not too crowded?

For proper training, 'Dive Sri Lanka' in Hikkaduwa or 'Underwater Safaris' in Colombo are well established. For a more relaxed experience with good reefs, consider 'Pigeon Island Dive Center' in Nilaveli (Trincomalee) - the reefs there are better than the south coast and it's less crowded. All reputable centers use PADI or SSI standards.

We did a try-dive in Hikkaduwa. The instructor was great but the visibility wasn't amazing. Heard the east coast has better viz.
