Midigama surf sessions and evening Tibetan singing bowl sound baths

Yes, Midigama has embraced holistic wellness. There are several boutique eco lodges and yoga shalas inland from Rams Right that host sunset sound healing sessions. We use large Tibetan singing bowls and crystal bowls to help lower cortisol levels and release muscle tension built up from aggressive surfing.
If you cannot find one in Midigama, just hop in a tuk tuk to Ahangama. Palm Hotel does amazing wellness pop ups including sound baths in the middle of their coconut plantation.
I fell asleep instantly during one of these sessions. It was the best 45 minute nap of my life after surfing the reef for 3 hours.
The resonant frequencies of the bowls are scientifically shown to help switch the body from the sympathetic fight or flight state which happens in heavy surf to parasympathetic rest and digest.
Ebb and Flow in Midigama sometimes runs these sessions on their rooftop. Watching the sunset while listening to the bowls is incredibly grounding.
Make sure you hydrate well before a sound bath. Sound waves travel more efficiently through a well hydrated body, making the cellular massage much more effective.
