Newswire 4:50 AM named three Chinese nationals on expired tourist visas - our ETA still ordinary

Overnight Newswire posted a wanted notice at 4:50 AM. Three names, Port City, tourist visas expired, may try to leave by air or sea. Partner wants to hide passports and skip CMB. I think that is a CID manhunt from a July case, not a new ETA rule. Do we do anything different today, or is this just a Colombo crime post.

Saturday 4:50 AM Newswire: wanted Chen Hongbing, Lu Gao, Xiang Huacheng, Port City assault 23 July, visas expired, possible illegal exit air or sea, Colombo District Crime Division 071-8591735. Mirror's homepage card is the same hunt, now hours old. This is not an ETA gazette and not a Kandy curfew. Free ETA for 40 nationalities from 25 May 2026 still needs eta.gov.lk before arrival.

Carry your own passport the way you already should. I cannot swear whether CMB queues are longer this morning because of the notice.
