Accepted Answer

Never take a photo with your back turned to a Buddha statue. It is a major rule in Sri Lankan culture. Also ensure you wear clothes covering your shoulders and knees.

I saw people getting asked to delete photos of themselves posing disrespectfully at Sigiriya ruins.

Tripods are sometimes restricted in narrow spaces inside temples so check at the gate.

Correct. Always remove your hat and shoes before entering the temple compound.
