Not a car to Colombo tonight. Not the tired driver who stood the 4th. App has a schedule-ride toggle. Partner wants to lock 05:00 now so we are not refreshing at 4.50 with zero cars like the 8.42 kerb thread. Does scheduled even mean a car in Kandy the morning after a Kumbal, or a 4.55 cancellation.

A scheduled ride is a request, not a bus. I cannot swear whether PickMe scheduled holds through a Perahera Saturday 05:00 in Kandy. Have a walking plan and a hostel desk number. Do not stand in a leftover cone line at 05:00 waving at the app. If it assigns a driver, check the plate in the street, not on Dalada.
05:00 after a Kumbal is also when the Tooth queue starts moving. Streets can still be leftover tape. A car that cannot reach your gate will cancel. Pin the inland side of the house.
Scam Watch: colombo
Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
