I'm traveling alone and want to feel comfortable while also meeting people. Any recommendations?

Well-reviewed women-only or women-friendly guesthouses and hostels exist in most tourist areas. Many organize group activities, dinners, or excursions. Yoga retreats and wellness centers tend to have a higher proportion of solo female travelers. Staying in smaller, family-run places where the hosts are present and engaged often feels safer and more social than big anonymous hotels. Trust your instincts and don't hesitate to change plans or accommodation if something feels off.

Women-friendly guesthouses + yoga/wellness activities noted. Will prioritize those.

Many solo female travelers say the south coast and Ella feel particularly comfortable. Having a few trusted contacts (drivers, guesthouse hosts) makes a big difference.
