Ask them for Leeks curry, Carrot curry, and potato white curry! The hill country produces the best cold-climate vegetables in Sri Lanka. Also, request fresh coconut roti with Lunu Miris (spicy onion paste) for breakfast. Because it gets cold up there, the heavy, spicy carb-loaded meals are absolutely perfect.

They might also have wild strawberries for dessert if they are in season!

If you are near the tea estates, ask for authentic Tamil estate food like Ulundu Vadai.

Do not forget the Ceylon black tea. They brew it strong and sweet up there.
