I do not eat meat. Are there any good vegetarian snacks sold by the street vendors.

The street food scene in Kandy is incredibly vegetarian friendly. Look for stalls selling hot Ulundu Vadai, which are crispy, deeply savory lentil fritters studded with onions and mild chilies. You can also easily order a completely vegetarian Vegetable Kottu, where they rapidly chop flatbread with carrots, leeks, and cabbage instead of meat. Do not miss trying the sweet local pancakes called Pani Pol, filled with caramelized coconut.
