Not looking for Unawatuna massage menus. Thinking a proper panchakarma week. South-coast clinics look discounted because of monsoon. Is that a good hack or will the doctor be on holiday?

Serious Ayurveda houses (Beruwala / Bentota / Ambalangoda belt, also some hill places) run year-round. August is quieter on the SW coast so you can often get a room plus physician time without winter prices. Rain does not stop treatments, it stops the beach walk between sessions. Ask whether the residential doctor is actually on site, not a visiting weekend MD. Confirm what the package includes: oil, medicines, laundry, airport.

Booked 7 nights in July, paid less than the December quote, ate bland healing food, it rained at 4pm every day, I did not care.

A 60-minute "Ayurveda" on a beach lane is a massage with a Sanskrit name. Different product. I will not quote you a daily clinic rate because I do not have a real tariff in front of me.

Fake Gem Export SchemeVerified

Someone befriends you and offers a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to buy gems at wholesale prices and resell them abroad for huge profit. They may show you fake export certificates. The gems are worthless glass or low-quality stones.

Beach Restaurant Menu ScamVerified

Restaurants without visible prices. Bill arrives with inflated charges (500 LKR coconut becomes 1500 LKR). "Service charges" added without disclosure.
