In Ahangama, almost all "retreats" are actually Surf-and-Yoga hybrid camps. Places like Sunshine Stories or The Kip cater exactly to this lifestyle. They usually have a structured Vinyasa class at 7 AM and a Yin class at 5 PM, but the entire middle of the day is completely free for you to surf Kabalana or explore. They are very relaxed compared to traditional Ayurvedic ashrams.

Yes, most of the Ahangama surf camps have a bar and actively encourage going to the local beach parties at night.

Look for places that explicitly advertise "Surf Camp" rather than "Ayurvedic Retreat".
