We want to dive the east coast. Do we need to travel far to find a dive shop.

Arugam Bay is fundamentally a surfing town and the ocean floor is constantly churned up sand making visibility terrible for diving. Therefore there are virtually no established PADI dive centers operating directly within the bay itself.

To find world class diving and highly professional dive centers you must travel a few hours north to Passikudah or Trincomalee where the ocean is calm crystal clear and features incredible coral reefs.
