Is it safe to snorkel near the dolphin pods or are there dangerous sharks.

First you are strictly legally prohibited from jumping into the water near the dolphin pods. You must stay on the boat. However if you are snorkeling at the nearby Bar Reef you are perfectly safe.

While harmless Blacktip Reef Sharks frequently patrol the shallow corals highly aggressive predatory sharks are completely virtually nonexistent in these warm coastal waters. You have absolutely nothing to fear while snorkeling legally.
