Blue Bay Chill Out Lounge is a brilliant hidden gem in Hiriketiya. It is tucked away but serves some of the most unforgettable, freshly steamed tuna paired with perfectly cooked local vegetables.
Hiriketiya Seafood Restaurant is a fantastic, no frills local spot. It offers budget friendly, incredibly fresh fish caught that very morning, grilled to perfection without the heavy tourist markup.
If you want to try massive local prawns, simply walk down the beach at night and find the small wooden shacks displaying their catch on ice. You pick the fish, and they cook it right in front of you.
