My husband has a registered DJI drone. Can he fly it during our jeep safari in Yala to get aerial shots of the elephants?

Absolutely NOT. Drones are strictly banned in all National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries in Sri Lanka to protect the animals from severe stress. Park rangers will confiscate the drone and heavily fine you on the spot.

Even outside the park boundaries, if an elephant is nearby on a rural road, do not launch a drone. The high-pitched buzzing noise panics them and can cause a deadly stampede.
