Friend in Delhi said Indians do not need anything now, just walk through. Another friend said you still fill the form. We land CMB 28 August for 12 days. Do not want to get pulled aside.

India is on the free list so you pay zero. Application is still mandatory for every foreign passport, including the 40 plus Maldives, Seychelles, Singapore. They want ETA before arrival. 30 days counts from first entry, not from the day you apply.

Did it on my phone the night before, free, approved. Immigration at CMB asked to see the approval on the screen. No drama.

Kids under 12 are often fee-free even when the adult list is paid, but you still apply. Some African passports need a sponsor in Battaramulla, that is a different queue, not your problem.
