Sri Lanka ETA / visa process in 2026 - any changes or issues?
I'm applying for the ETA online. Has anything changed recently with processing times or requirements? Any common mistakes to avoid?

The online ETA system is generally smooth in 2026. Processing is usually within 24-48 hours, sometimes faster. Common issues: make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months, use a clear photo, and double-check the spelling of your name exactly as in your passport. If it gets delayed, you can still travel and get it on arrival at the airport immigration (they have a counter), but it's better to have it approved beforehand.

Many people now get it approved in a few hours. Just don't apply too early (more than 30 days before travel) as it has validity limits. The official website is the only one you should use - avoid third-party sites that charge extra.
