We have a Saturday 4pm van out of Colombo to the airport. Flags are half-mast. Remains are at the Sangeetha Ashramaya on Vijayaba Mawatha until 3.30 Saturday, then Borella Cemetery at 5. I know the Perahera did not get cancelled. I am asking whether our Saturday afternoon is about to sit in a funeral procession.

Nugegoda / Nawala is heavier today and tomorrow morning while people go to the Ashramaya (30 Vijayaba Mawatha, Nawala Road). The 5pm Borella movement can slow Baseline / cemetery approaches Saturday late afternoon. A 4pm CMB van from Fort is probably fine; a 4pm van that crosses Nugegoda or Borella is not. Leave 2 or go around.

No state funeral, family's wish. Still a lot of people. Half-mast at state buildings is not a curfew.
