Overnight Newswire put FIFA bans on Argentina after the July final as the lead. Partner saw Saturday post and thought something local landed. I think that is a sports desk in Colombo, not Kandy, not SSC, not a cancellation. Do we ignore it, or is a Saturday lead a sign the newsroom is awake for a wrap.

Newswire 3:49 AM 22 Aug is FIFA, Spain 1-0 Argentina, not Sri Lanka v India and not a Kandy wrap. The newsroom can post sports at 3:49 AM and still not write Pulathisi Raja returned. Ada's later Rumesh top is the same pattern. 6:28 PM is still on the official table.
We almost packed for SSC because of a Saturday sports post. It was Argentina. Stay.
