News this morning is national mourning 21-23 and the funeral is Saturday in Colombo. We moved our whole week for the 4th and 5th Kumbal. Please tell me they do not cancel a religious procession because a singer died. I do not mean that cruelly, I just booked flights.

The Perahera is a temple calendar, not a state concert. Mourning is flags, radio, and a funeral in Colombo. Tonight is still the 4th Kumbal at 6:40. Be a guest in the country - do not play loud party music in the tuk-tuk on the way, and if you are in Colombo tomorrow maybe do not ask for a club recommendation. The procession is on.

We checked the police info and the hotel this morning. Seats still being sold. No cancellation notice on the Maligawa side.

If you want to pay respects, the music ashram in Nugegoda is the public lying-in-state, not something you have to do as a tourist. Do not treat it as an attraction.

Ok it is on. We will keep the tuk-tuk quiet. Thanks.
