Partner has been refreshing kandyesalaperahera.com/live since the casket. Earlier tonight it at least spun old Day Perahera titles. Now it is a dead 404. Is that the official "it's over" signal or did the site just fall over. Parents in Colombo are asking which button.

A 404 is a 404, not a Maligawa communiqué. Media Bureau partners Rupavahini (SLRC) and ITN, plus Maligawa socials. Ada Derana's street item is still the 8.14 commence piece. If Colombo just wants pictures, try those, not a dead /live URL.
You do not need a player to know the night is over on Dalada. Saturday 6:28 is still listed. Do not pay a WhatsApp guy for a "private stream of the ending."

Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
