We have been standing since 5. I think we already saw the big tusker. He is done and pulling up kandyesalaperahera.com/live on mobile data that is dying. Is the 4th Kumbal actually being streamed right now or is that page last year's Day Perahera. If we leave, do we miss the only bit that matters.

Official live is supposed to sit at kandyesalaperahera.com/live. The Media Bureau also partners Rupavahini and ITN for the broadcast. Ada Derana has been posting the street coverage tonight. If the official page is showing 2025 VODs, try Rupavahini / ITN / Ada Derana rather than refreshing a dead player in the crowd. Do not pay a WhatsApp guy for a "private stream."

We left after the casket last night and watched a grainy Facebook copy in the guesthouse. Fine. The smell and the whips do not come through the phone, which is why we are back tonight. One of us is enough.
