Sri Lanka with a toddler - practical tips for parents?
We're traveling with our 2-year-old. Any specific advice on transport, food, hotels, and health?

Choose hotels with pools and family rooms (many now have them). For transport, private drivers with vans are easiest. Bring a lightweight stroller but also a baby carrier for uneven surfaces. Food: most places can do simple rice, yogurt, fruit, and mild curries. Pharmacies are well-stocked for basics. Avoid street food with little ones and stick to busy restaurants. Many places are very child-friendly.
We traveled with our 18-month-old last year. The key was flexible pacing and choosing one base for several nights rather than moving often.
Book family rooms or connecting rooms in advance. Tuk-tuks can be tricky with a toddler - car/van is safer and more comfortable. Bring favorite snacks from home as backup.
