Yes! Go to the Kandy Goods Shed Bus Stand and catch the Kadugannawa bus (Route 644 or 652). It costs about 100 LKR. Tell the conductor you want to get off at the Gadaladeniya junction. From the main road, it is a pleasant 1.5 km walk uphill to the temple. It is a fantastic, cheap way to see the 14th-century ruins.

We did this exact route. The walk uphill is totally fine, just bring water because it gets hot.

You can also catch a local three-wheeler from the junction to the temple gates for about 300 rupees if you do not want to walk.
