The new Digital Nomad Visa rules require proof of a minimum monthly remittance of two thousand US dollars from foreign sources. You can provide bank statements from your home country or tax filings. You do not need a local bank account to apply, though once your visa is approved, you are permitted to open and maintain personal accounts in Sri Lankan banks for your daily expenses.
Make sure your health insurance is valid for the full duration of your one year stay as this is a mandatory requirement for the final endorsement.
