I am applying for the one year visa. Does the two thousand dollar monthly requirement need to be shown in a local bank.

The requirement is a minimum monthly income of two thousand dollars routed through banking channels outside Sri Lanka. You do not need a local bank account for the application. You must provide six months of bank statements and a valid remote work contract. Once approved, the five hundred dollar fee covers you and your dependents for one full year of residency.
