I read that Sri Lanka is adding nations like Australia, the US, and EU states to the free ETA list. Is it active yet.

The cabinet is expected to finalize the approval this week for the expansion to 40 nations. Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath mentioned that the goal is to implement it before the summer season to boost arrivals. Currently, only seven nations including India and China are under the free pilot. Keep checking the official gov.lk portal for the launch date as a new QR coded approval system is being prepared.
