Are there good scuba diving spots in Arugam Bay.

We know it is famous for surfing but can we also go diving on the east coast.

While Arugam Bay is a world class surf destination the diving directly inside the bay is actually quite poor due to the constant wave action churning up the sandy bottom.

However if you travel slightly further north towards Passikudah or Trincomalee during the summer season the diving is spectacular featuring massive coral reefs and historic World War Two shipwrecks in crystal clear water.
