We are heading north and want a real adventure trying local palm toddy and experiencing Tamil culture Are there taverns that welcome tourists

Palmyra toddy in Jaffna is a must. The taverns are very rustic but locals are usually friendly. Go in the morning for the fresh sweet stuff.
